Downriver Holiday Tree Walk
Remembering Members of Our Downriver CU Family
The holidays can bring cherished memories of the people we love and miss.
If someone special to you passed away and was part of the Downriver CU community, the Downriver Holiday Tree Walk offers a meaningful place to remember, reflect, and honor their life.
This year, Downriver CU will have a special Memorial Tree dedicated to the members, Board Members, and team members of our credit union family who have passed away.
Honor Someone You Love
You’re invited to donate an outdoor, weatherproof ornament in memory of a loved one who passed away and was part of the Downriver CU community.
Each ornament will represent a life remembered, a story worth sharing, and someone who continues to hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved them.
Join Us Opening Night
Saturday, December 12, 2026
Join us as approximately 150 remembrance trees come to light and our community gathers for a shared moment of remembrance and connection.
At 6:30 PM, the Tree Walk will pause for the “We Say Their Names” Tree Lighting, honoring the loved ones represented throughout the walk.
Opening Night runs from 5–9 PM and includes free activities such as remembrance activities, cocoa and cookies, holiday photos, carolers, special characters, and time to walk among the glowing trees.
Visit Throughout the Season
December 12, 2026 – January 1, 2027
You do not need to donate an ornament to participate. Everyone is welcome to visit the Tree Walk, walk among the illuminated trees, and take time to remember those we love and miss.
